Comedian Amy Schumer, in particular, has taken to social to share a torrent of information with her followers (13.1 million on Instagram, 4 million on Twitter). The posts have been mostly in support of Israel and speak out against threats of anti-semitism while demanding the return of the over 200 hostages Hamas

It’s still hard to take in that he’s gone.  He seemed on the upswing, and was still very young.  Matthew Perry, thanks for the good laughs!

100%. I will not be forgetting these celebrities who make it clear that they have zero issues with the deaths of thousands and thousands of Palestinians to “avenge” October 7. As a Jew myself, seeing the responses to genocide is just appalling. Seeing people still contort themselves after yesterday’s bombing of a

When +8,300 people have been bombed to shit, most of them were civilians, half of them were children, and you’re rooting against a cease-fire, you’re the problem.

I really hate that we feel that celebrities owe us a public statement regarding the deaths of their friends. People need to mind their own business and let them grieve as they feel they need to.

Tremendously disagree

My mind is rejecting this information. His memoir may be the most honest portrayal of the beast of addiction that I have ever read. This is devastating.

Yeah, and it seems like Perry would actually want people to use his as motivation to seek help:

That virus? and those other superhuman banes they’ve introduced can't just be ignored. They'll definitely be carried over into next season of the Boys.

This is a great point. These premature infants should not have taken those hostages, and even though I’m generally against the death penalty, these premature newborns committed a war crime when, as premature newly born children who can’t walk, talk, think, or do anything except be a passive recipient of life saving

yah way too many tie-ins at this point. I think they’ve created a really great group of main characters. Marie feels like a good person, but realistic to how actual good people operate (with lots of contradictions and uncertainty).

Yes -- Aniston is quite good in this, depite the fact that plays a character somewhat adjacent to real life. Witherspoon is good too -- I think people take her for granted because she very effortlessly plays strong-willed and determined characters.

The speech frequency did increase, but I still think the speech-per-minute-running time was lower than in his other projects. Someone with more patience than me can do that measurement.

The build up to each of the deaths had excellent payoff, ranging from ridiculous (the chimpanzees!) to visually gorgeous as you said (Tamerlane’s!)

I’ll defend Season 2. Sure, not quite as cohesive as season one, but there were one or two of the best episodes they’ve ever done in there.

I think the show knew we would suspect Cate was the mole since the beginning. They seem more interested in allowing vulnerable people to do bad things, and it being a response to their vulnerability. Less about anti-heroes, and more about the messiness of power dynamics.

“If anyone hasn’t seen it”

Midnight Mass is the best thing I’ve seen in years, and it’s not even close.

Midnight Mass is best for me. Not subtle at all by the end. Some full on gore. But I thought it was one of the best Stephen King adapatations (not actually written by Stephen King).
