Yeah, I don’t think civil claims against Alec and the other producers have even been given a trial date? I cannot imagine they won’t be held negligent for creating an unsafe workplace, and it sounds like they only had a dinky insurance policy for what would be substantial damages.

I found season 2 to be narratively less interesting and characters a little more inconsistent, which made it a little harder to put on an episode which might emotionally drain me (and not exactly in a cathartic way lol).

agreed, this actually looks beautiful.

Yah, I thought this was pretty obvious but seems to be overlooked by lots.

I know this is lame to say because I do really like Kristen Kish, but I miss Padma still. Happy Padma’s chasing bigger dreams, but I also think her certainty in herself inspired the chefs to be more certain in themselves.

yah I felt with Bill Murrary it was less public pile on, and more his coworkers sick of working with him and telling the public.

Yeah, I commented on the larger thread above, but I listened during the Amber Heard trial. It’s not shocking, but still disparaging to see the similarities and that nobody believes a woman of DV until she is dead (and even then the system might fail you like with Nicole).

they do a deep dive into everything before the murder and trial. The amount of times Nicole was failed by the authorities and by the people she was surrounded with even in her early attempts to leave OJ adds a lot of context. They spend a lot less time pointing the finger at OJ, and more on all the systemic ways women

I actually am really enjoying this series, Wiig and Janney are fucking talented.

I can’t think of two entertainers more committed to the concept of performance, I feel this is going to be rad.

the police look at Marge’s photos when they force her to go to Rome, and fail to make any connections. I thought it was an interesting commentary that the detective misses the easiest pieces of the puzzle because of his own blind spots and biases. So blinding in fact that Marge is completely believable in her

*spoliers*

oh get off it, she’s one of a handful of fat female performers, and the amount of control is disgusting that people feel over Lizzo’s body as i) needing to lose weight or ii) remain the same size or iii) she’s actually a fat shamer to staff?

I’m enjoying this show quite a lot, but I think it’s mostly being carried by the aesthetic and the comedic actresses. Wiig really is a talent.

Euphoria is beautiful to look at and beautifully acted. Zendaya brings a lot of humanity to what otherwise would be a caricature of addiction.

mama ur really off on this

I mean he doesn’t seem to be smacking the kids around at least, but yes, still seems like a pretty big asshole move considering it’s ultimately Jolie and the kids who had to deal with the consequences of his actions.

thanks for sharing, this does offer a glimmer that victims are finally being listened to.

I think Pitt was an abusive husband during the end of the marriage due to his addiction, and he’s not that kind of person in sobriety (at least to that degree).

yah I sort of feel all child actors, even when they become adults, are vulnerable people. And they can fall victim to the same manipulation that they experienced as children very easily again.
