agreed! I’m here mainly for the comments, which are sometimes still really good when the trolls stay out.

our OG trojan horse of a feminist filmmaker.
idk, the reality show is kinda better than the tv show. all I cared about are the games, and this is all this is about.
Nina from The Black Swan though is imo one of the better performances of that decade in film. I feel she’s her best when her character has an edge, Annihilation as well I think really suits her.
sometimes people like him deserve to be lifted extra high, even for a moment, just so when they are dropped it’s absolutely casualty.
I think Hunter Schaefer would be dope as Zelda, and there is something very trans about the games anyway. Doubt it would happen, but still be cool.
I think she’s fantastic in the marvel movies, she feels like a break from the incessant sarcasm of the other characters (or playing them dumb since they are aliens etc.).
idk if I was especially emotional, but *spoiler* the end of the movie had me full wet teared face in the theatre. Seeing Priscilla leave Elvis and the cage he had her trapped in, wanting more for her daughter, and needle dropping Dolly Parton was one of the most cathartic scenes in a movie this year.
Saw tonight. It was incredible. Surprisingly emotional.
yah looks like the producers are just looking to sue someone to recoup any lost money, and are going after Breslin since she can probably bank the losses. Sure there’s something in her contract that they are using against her.
I agree, I wanted a Harry Potter kind of story but with young supes (and even trans supes killing terfs)
yah does the human and ape fuck each other in any of the films?
do the humans and apes have sex in any of them?
ur vile.
legit, I think Coppola recognizing the vulnerability of Priscilla by leaning into some hardcore aesthetics of girlhood, while also preserving Priscilla’s own experience is the right way to approach the story without reducing her solely to a victim.
idk, I got some respect for this woman for being litigious and laying out money for issues that may have consequences for others in the industry.
what a simplistic and stupid take
it feels like a fake out that it centres on Mollie (and idk if that was part of a rewrite), but it very quickly becomes Leo’s movie and we mostly just watch Mollie suffer for hours.
idk I saw this last night, and aside from the visuals, he really missed the mark on respecting the victims stories (we really only see the osage women’s pain, not their life, not their joys). It wasn’t bad, or disrespectful really, just really seemed to miss a big part of the story.
opened with the Osage.
