Not everyone has seen the promotional footage, and many of us avoid promotional footage precisely because of spoilers. The problem still stands.

Structurally, it sounds like a really clunky SaGa game. Interesting. Unfortunately, those mutant baby-doll protagonists pretty much killed it for me.

The lack of plot kind of kills it for me. It's one of the big reasons I play JRPGs. If I want challenging gameplay and a rather hands off approach when it comes to plot games like Dark Souls or Monster Hunter do it best.
