Stephen was amazing this episode. The joyful/bewildered awe at meeting his kids, the happiness turned to heartbreak when he found out they didn’t grow up together and pride over how William turned out... everything bout the coming out scene. Was his best acting to date.

Oh man, Oliver’s statement that he knew all along? Yeah, that got to me.

Awesome news! I don’t know why the writer of the article is so salty. Felicity is awesome and she has every right to be in the series finale. It makes perfect sense. Can’t wait.

In terms of plot, Felicity is in hiding raising the baby, so it doesn’t make much sense to bring her back much earlier than the finale.

Her plan includes reducing a military slush fund, so yes, that part is accurate.

I more or less enjoyed the season and the finale, though your review has given me pause. I was sad to see Mel and Sue replaced, and thanks for the added context. Noel and Sandi are decent, but definitely a different flavour. Triggering Alice did seem mean. Incidentally, John Oliver was on Conan O’Brien’s podcast

I didn’t realise that about Mel and Sue. What a clever and heartwarming approach.

Not going to lie, I watched this live in the UK with my Mum and thought it was a total downer of an episode. Steph’s meltdown was depressing after her performance for the rest of the season and also it didn’t seem like Alice was 100% either.

I’m probably alone in this, but William is my favorite character from the future side. The actor plays him exactly like how I’d imagine Oliver’s son who was raised by Felicity would be like. No offense to the kid who played young William, but adult William rocks.

Not-Laurel has always been a more compelling role for Cassidy than Laurel ever was. Sadly, I am again run aground on my pettiest of complaints: I hate her new hairstyle. It’s shaggy and an awkward length and the bleach blonde clashes terribly with her complexion.  Somebody in the hair department needs a talking-to!

Lyla has always been one of my favorite Arrow supporting characters & I love that they are giving her such a prominent role this season more because she deserves it than because it is comics-accurate, which I don’t really care about personally.

I would cast Amy Acker as Lori Laughlin for women in prison movie

I was waiting for Adrian to yell, “You’re killing my gains!”

I also enjoyed the Green Arrow Killing Good/Bad Journey:

I’m actually disappointed we never actually got to see that. Maybe because I would find it a bit reassuring if the show ever acknowledged on-screen how fundamentally weird it is.

Yeah Moira’s death scene was really great but I just think the show would have benefited from having Susannah Thompson around longer, she was so good & worked so well with her TV kids

Stephen Amell said one time that the s1 scene where Emily Bett debuted as Felicity was the most important scene in the history of the show & I think I agree, not just for introducing her character & their relationship, but also in terms of what it meant for Oliver reconnecting with his humanity

Obligatory: This will be relevant for a long time

Eleanor: We need to bust him open like a piñata.
