Everyone could’ve just been there for Oliver’s funeral. I get that they wanted to pass the torch from Oliver to Mia here so I’m not that mad at it, I just wish they’d cut time from something to get some more character interaction at that funeral.
Oh, I forgot to mention Roy’s parkour flips. We were gifted with so many this fine evening!
Well, I guess after 8 years of sticking with this show I didn’t expect much but I still managed to be disappointed.
Yeah, it would’ve been nice if they’d done some justice to her redemption story, but they always have her gloss over her past behavior as “villainy” or like last night rewriting her murders and badness as her just pretending to be someone else because it was easier. Okay!
Apparently timeline wise this episode takes place after next week’s, which I suppose makes sense since Dinah said she was around for Oliver’s funeral and then disappeared right after.
Now that she’s a full time good guy, the writers have to be careful that she doesn’t lose her edge.
Same and same. It leaves me with a sense of dread going into next week.
Yeah, I didn’t like that either but at least that went away after the party. Laurel wore hers as a day look too, which...honey, no.
- I know Not!Laurel’s always been a snarky asshole, but it seems like she turned up the dial this time.
As someone who wasn’t sold on this spin-off (and still isn’t gonna watch it if it gets ordered to series), this wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.
I thought this episode was as fun as it could be considering I only watch Arrow and my favorite character from it had just died (for good this time I guess? Who knows - have seen it happen twice already kinda sapped all the emotion out of it for me).
I really wasn’t a fan of this one. The Ezra Miller cameo was truly great, but the rest was kinda a mess.
I can’t remember where now but I’m pretty sure that it was confirmed that this isn’t the show that Katie and Juliana pitched (but I don’t think they’re going to be wearing old age makeup either way).
I’m having a lot of fun with this crossover, but it has so many characters, and is trying to do some many things in such a short span of time, there aren’t any one or two characters that it’s emotionally grounded in. And it moves so fast, that a lot of the emotional moments don’t have sufficient time to land.
I understand that it’s a big story, I just think that it could’ve been pared down a little bit more to give the moments with the characters that we’ve been following on the main shows some room to breathe. There’s been a lot of build up for a few of these characters and so far I don’t feel like their stories have been…
The cameos are fun (I think Lucifer in this episode is my favorite of them all), but there’s too much going on here too quickly for me to be super invested in any of it. And that makes me sad since Arrow’s whole season has been dedicated to setting this up, and Oliver died quickly, was resurrected quickly, and turned…
I stopped watching The Flash because I just don’t like Barry, but I really enjoyed him and Mia helping each other put on their bad idea jeans and Sara eventually going along for the ride.
Oliver’s my absolute favorite. Obviously we all knew he was dying, and even though I had a whole year to prepare for it, and even though he might not even be permanently dead, I still wasn’t ready. His death made me cry. I’ve never wanted a show to stop shitting on a person and let him have a happily ever after more…
Sadly, the finale is a one-hour retrospective and a one-hour episode of Arrow, so it’s just one part.
