That’s not fair.
That’s not fair.
While I think Arrow could definitely do with letting some moments breathe, its biggest weakness for me by far is the character idiocy required to make some of the plots work. The plots aren’t bad per se, but the pretzel twisting required on behalf of the characters in order to make them work is. And it’s happened most…
Badger and Skinny Pete are amazing friends.
I anxiously await whatever Succession has up its sleeve that can top L to the OG, KenW.A. and “I need to negotiate a Greg-xit” all being in the same ep.
Dead eyes, eat hearts, can’t lose!
And this show has given them plenty of Birds to choose from!
I really liked the beginnings of a team they had going on in the flash forwards, so if this is set there with Dinah and Laurel as the elder stateswomen (in hopefully minor roles) guiding the newbies in their quest for justice, I wouldn’t object.
I thought Logan was going to keel over when he was running after Nan and I don’t think I’ve ever flip flopped between wanting/not wanting something so many times within the span of 20 seconds.
Rob, is that you?
I’m baffled as to how Rob thought anything about Logan and Veronica’s relationship was happy. Veronica was a toxic asshole to Logan this season (just when he’d finally outgrown his own toxic assholishness), their wedding was obviously not what she wanted, there wouldn’t have been a happy ending for them even if Logan…
I never expected Logan and Veronica to get a happy ending (or a fully happy ending, I guess). So I’m not surprised it ended in misery, but I really hate the way Rob Thomas went about it. Logan’s death was tacked-on, half-assed and cheap, and then pretty much skipped over as Veronica gave us the run-down of what…
I’m hoping they’ll go back to the way they used to do the crossovers and have the crossover for episode 8 (or 9, in Arrow’s case - if it starts a week earlier than the other shows). That way they can reverse Oliver’s grim fate which I’m still foolishly going to hope for, and then close everything up with one last…
I thought this season was kinda messy, with nonsensical motivations for some and super lazy writing for others. It wasn’t as frustrating as other seasons, so that’s something, I guess. Even though it was a 30-second last-minute turn, I’m glad Emiko made up with Oliver before she died.
Yeah, I mean it’d be one thing if her vendetta was solely against Oliver, but she’s the leader of a terrorist group that’s planning on killing thousands of people so...maybe just end the threat? She doesn’t deserve special consideration just because she’s blood related (and even if she did, Oliver has already shown…
I guess it would’ve been a little better if they had framed her issue around setting herself up to take the fall for a guy she doesn’t know instead of her repeatedly saying her problem was with covering up two murders. But the former wouldn’t have worked that well either considering she covered up Laurel’s actions -…

Arrow Corner:
Jaime is (or...was, I guess) a human trash can but gah, I just love him so much. Especially in his scenes with Brienne tonight. She makes me so happy.
See, I don’t think this Sara is the closest thing they have to a connection to her. Laurel hadn’t even mentioned having a sister on her Earth before last night (and even then she never said it was Sara) - Felicity is the only one who’s consistently believed in her and tried to be her friend, which is part of why…
Yeah, on the one hand I thought it was a strange call to bring her in since Laurel hasn’t ever mentioned having a special connection to her sister (who may not even be Sara for all we know), and Sara didn’t have too much to say about Laurel what little time she’s been around her Although I did like her bringing up E-1…
