This and looking back at the ways Rudy's two halves interact makes me wonder what exactly the nature of Rudy's power is, specifically. It's way too metaphysical to be the typical "Triplicate Girl/Multiple Man" scenario. Have they shown that Rudy's two halves don't coexist anymore, because there have been a bunch of

I think Rudy definitely has more depth compared to Nathan because we at least see Rudy grow a bit, but it's obvious he's trying to fill the role left by Nathan, both as "group cut-up" and metatextually by putting him in the same situations that Nathan went through initially.

There's certainly good concepts in it but it gets off to the WORST start possible. Introducing a new character is one thing, tying him into the already existing characters in the worst way possible was stupid.

Yeah I think the 4th episode of S3 was where it really picked up. Curtis' genderswap power plotline was so horribly stupid and the 3rd episode rips off a plot concept from one of the worst episodes of the revamped DOCTOR WHO, so really just start again on Episode 4 keeping in mind that Curtis has the ability to swap

Yeah, I found this episode exceptionally problematic, but I'm actually a lot warmer on this season than I was on S3 at this point, after its first two tragically awful episodes.

Also the result in "Pie Contest" wasn't nearly as satisfying as "Greatest Tape In The World", which is possibly one of my favorite episodes so far. But the path to get there was hilarious.

I really enjoyed this episode, and I think the other episode it got packaged with ("Greatest Tape In The World") was a pretty good thematic couple to this episode. Mordecai and Rigby do something stupid and irresponsible and then deal with some horrifying apocalyptic consequence of it. It's the formula for a lot of

Finn *is* the Water Elemental. Flame Princess assumes that everyone represents an element by what their bodies produce. Since humans cry water and not fire, she assumes Finn is a water elemental.

holy crap I didn't know this was going to happen and now I need to read it.

the art in the book was great, despite my utter dislike for Cap's new costume, but that cover was awful. Cap looks about 50 years older on the cover than he does in the book.
