I'm not one of them, but there are people who resent Firefly because of how strongly the fans advocate the show. It is not. The show is not about resolution of the zombie issue. It is a show about life where that is a constant.

That Firefly is the best thing ever created and nothing has surpassed it to date. Also, I don't want it to come back. It had its moment and rebooting it would be nothing more than nostalgic self-pleasuring.

No part of that scene makes any sense. If this had all already happened to him, then he should know the outcome regardless. And it would essentially make everything he'd done up until that point impossible.
