Canadian here - actually BLM has gained a lot of traction up here as well, though for very different reasons (http://blacklivesmatter.ca/demands/). It’s especially been a big deal since a local branch staged a sit-in at Toronto’s pride parade a couple weeks ago. Really brought our racist folks outta the woodwork!
