....."literally exactly implying"?

I'm not saying drug dealing isn't a common topic in rap, or that it's equally common elsewhere, all I'm saying is that neither drugs nor the glorification of a criminal/hustling lifestyle is unique to rap or to black culture.

Do a Google search, dude. I'm sure you'll find something. If I weren't at work I'd do it for you. If you can't find music, you can certainly find movies, tv shows, or video games. Frankly, even if there weren't a single one, it's still ridiculous to suggest that white kids selling drugs is cultural appropriation.

I think perhaps your definition of cultural appropriation is a little broad. Also, the fact that you haven't heard the music doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

The fact that some rappers reference selling drugs does not make drug dealing cultural appropriation. Like, at all. All kinds of music (as well as pretty much any other kind of media) reference all kinds of drugs.

I sympathize. I haven't been able to take a property bath since I was like eleven. Shower spliffs are where it's at for me.

While it was a thoughtless thing to say, it sounds like he wasn't talking about Michelle, he was talking about a man wearing makeup to make himself look like Michelle.

Hey. White feminist here. The fact that Patricia Arquette made thoughtless statements on national television doesn't mean it's ok to make blanket statements about all of us.

"I have too much jewelry," I said six months ago when I got rid of 70% of my jewelry.

Unfortunately, though, we're not. I mean, the kind of people who go out of their way to read Jezebel are, but the fact that gay marriage is only legal in a handful of states proves that society as a whole is not.

"released a statement saying that the commercial wouldn't have aired on any shows which children might have watched, but that's not really the point."

Tonks does not appreciate your sentiment ^_^

For serious. I have five, and no plague here. It really was fleas. Rats are adorable.

Thank you SO much for bringing up oil cleansing, because my brain has been screaming it for this entire comments section. It's glorious.

Shea butter and coconut oil. The end, for realsies.

Indeed, but both had the benefit of not being whatever race the most white people were most scared of that year. It's not as though there aren't other examples. I gave you Columbine, add Newtown and Elliott Rodgers to the list.

You're right, but those are a handful of famous ones. Outside of those there are dozens and dozens of white male shooters whose actions spark conversations not about terrorism, but about mental illness, their upbringing, and gun control. Think Columbia, Newtown, Virginia tech, etc.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I consume a great deal of food. I just do it over an extended period of time.

I usually like to form a calm, intelligent response to statements/people I disagree with, but Michelle Bachmann has a special effect on me, soooo....

Frankly, I thought "aggravated pimping" was as good as my day was going to get, and you've just proven me so wrong...
