The wall is going to cost billions of dollars and wont work. There are also republicans proposing that prisoners be forced to work on the wall for free. So, slavery.

I know that walls (like other barriers including freeways) can have an impact on nature. Someone else mentioned that ranchers won’t have access to the Rio Grande, and I would add neither will some wildlife.

It’s going to cost a lot of money and we aren’t getting it funded by Mexico. So in that sense, after we slash taxes on corporations and rich and transfer our 2nd largest source of federal funds (National Lands) to the state level, we will have no way to effectively pay for it.
