As a recovered alcoholic, all I can say is her stories, excuses and antics have been...familiar to me for a while now.

My brother never saw active combat, but he saw two buddies die in a training accident and there are elements of his training that definetely gave him PTSD. The stories he tells me....it just sounds like it borders on abuse sometimes.

Also, all the women in Hannah and Her Sisters. I feel like the elevator pitch was just “women are always mad about something.”

This kind of shit is exactly why I left the art world. I saw a vegan I graduated college with (I know she’s vegan because she never shut up about it) defending this because it’s only through “extreme art” that we become “disgusted with ourselves.”

You’re probably right, and regardless of what I think of her, I wish that on no one. Out of respect for that, I’ll bite my tongue on that. All I can go on is how she acted when I knew her, which was post-high-school.

I knew her until we were 25-26. Plenty of time to not be a dick.

My boyfriend did. I knew her through mutual friends up until a couple years ago. I do not miss running into her.

She’s about as fake as they come. Every little thing is perfectly crafted for maximum cred/attention. And she was a bully in high school. Just super mean to girls, especially if you encroached on her “cool” vibe. Fat-shaming like whoa.

I think Kit is fine. He does the mopey, brooding Stark thing pretty well. I feel like he might get better with age and he was pretty funny in Seven Days In Hell. If he approaches every role after this with the same shtick, then yeah, he’s a bad actor who found the right role.
