Well, Tywin was always Hand of the King, Tyrion was just serving in his stead while he was away. And his horse took a shit in the Red Keep, not the Sept of Baelor - it was right before walking into the throne room.

Was this the only large scale battle on screen until Hardhome or am I forgetting? In later seasons the battles are usually setup, then hard cut to the aftermath. I know it’s mostly due to budgetary reasons but I do wish they had done more episodes like this one.

As the show has gone on it’s only proven more and more that this is the best episode it’s ever done and ever will do. Everything is perfect. And we have to give a shout out to Bronn who gets to be a real firestarter with that sublime shot of the flaming arrow into the wildfire. Just exceptional work all round.

Great moment when the people on the battlements see that insane fireball go up, and Tyrion looks like he’s thinking “holy fuck what did we just do, is this even allowed to happen” while the alchemist is like “YEAH BABY!”

I get why people enjoy them, but I'm never going to be fond of the Embiid player type. I don't know why, but I do not and have never enjoyed trash talking. And for the record, that was true of KG when he was on the Celtics, the team I root for, too. Kg was a dick. So is Embiid.

To be fair, Qarth is much more important in the books because of the visions Dany sees in the House of the Undying. The show gave us a very condensed version, but the shit we see has a ton of foreshadowing for the likely endgame, similar to the visions that Bran has.
