I suppose we must avoid references to murder, severe illness, obesity, religion, electrocution, car accidents, torture, disablement, poverty and a ton of other stuff in our speech as well, then.

Project Spark looks super interesting. Crossbone is again a possibility.
You mean the "rape" joke.
I'm getting tired of this guy and the way he keeps making himself out to be some kind of freedom fighter along the lines of what Wikileaks did. What he's done is shitty, not something to be applauded.
I know. But this article is about console graphics.
Not a reason for playing on a console, but as a reason for caring about the graphics on console. So to continue your politician analogy, the former would equate to voting for a politician because you want to vote for that politician. Which is dumb. The latter would equate to caring about a politician's policies…
They're press conferences. For the press.
"Because I want to play to play on a console, not a PC" is about as real as a reason can get, to be honest.
I didn't really like the book, to be honest. Cool concept, but not all that well written.
I would honestly love to, but I currently have a 360 and I can't really justify a second console. I'll probably (almost certainly) be switching to PS4 next gen though, so hopefully there'll be a few Uncharted games on there.
I know it's kind of a faux-pas in the gaming community, but I'm totally looking forward to this. The Call of Dutys do what they do (Hollywood-esque directed experience) really well.
Hate to be that guy, but that's not what ignorant means.
Slightly off-topic, but regarding your comment:
Wouldn't a dedicated Mac section just be a subset of the PC section most of the time, though?
It's less a defence and more an explanation, as your accusations aren't really valid and there's nothing to actually defend against.
I don't think that's an unreasonable hope? Like, I bet he hopes that, too. Most of the time it's just a tongue-in-cheek comment referencing that fact that they really like ASOIAF, he's getting on a bit, and he takes kind of a long time to finish his books.
