In my area, the Big Altima Energy drivers have all rolled their negative equity into Rogues now, and the Altimas are, ironically, generally clean and well-behaved.

2002 Infiniti G20t (sold in Canada) was an excellent handling car that was FWD
The Maximas were sportier cars in an era of Toyota cost-cutting. Sadly Nissan let these cars wither on the vine while Toyota learned to improve quality while cutting costs.
The A32 97-99 Maxima SE w/ Leather was always better bang for the buck then the equivalent Camry of that era. The 02-03 I35 (A33 Maxima) was also a relative bargain on the used market compared to the ES300 (back in those days.)
That said I’m surprised a newer Mini Cooper didn’t make the list. Has anyone driven a Mini…
I had the FX35 and the FX 35... they were really great vehicles... no issues... nothing like the crap they have now.
About 20 years ago I distinctly remember seeing the newly-released Infiniti FX45 on display at my local mall. It looked like the freaking Batmobile and ran on 20" wheels, which were almost unheard of on production cars at the time. Around that time they came out with the G35, which was supposed to be a really good car.…
For a brief period in the mid 2000s Infiniti had it. The G35 and M45 were winning comparisons and beating the Germans at their own game. Then they got lazy and completely dropped the ball.
Exactly so. They have literally the dullest lineup of any of the luxury(ish) automakers, and they don’t even compensate for that with well-made, reliable vehicles.
Yeah I was going to say it would need to be 89-99 maxima/accord/camry.
Certainly one of the most underrated commuter cars. It’s always weird to think back on this era of Nissan and how much more I liked it than almost anything they have done since.
Probably a Citroen,
It doesn’t matter how they define best they just want a bunch of comments so tomorrow’s slideshow will write itself.
My grandmother had a 1995 in the same SE trim as in your photo (complete with gold-on-gold badging, as was customary for that era). It was probably the last Maxima to earn that 4DSC (Four-Door Sports Car) label Nissan was known to slap on every model year until the end. It was also surprisingly reliable and lasted my…
There will likely be several Hondas on this list (and rightfully so), and to me I always felt like the first-gen Acura TSX was Honda at their FWD peak. I’ve owned Civics, an Integra, a RSX, and a couple Accords, but my ‘05 TSX with the 6-speed felt the best. It was poised, taut, and fun, but also supremely comfortable…
Please stop pointing stuff like this out. You could have suffered alone without dragging others in it
So many videos on YT like this.
It’s more convenient to wait for the sun to go down than to switch on the AC.
Tesla’s panel gaps and shoddy build quality notwithstanding
It immediately made the ID.4 a non-buy for us. The capacitive slide for volume was stupid. Just give me a damn knob.
