So basically a Chevy Bolt with Chinese motor and battery pack for $35k.

Kudos to LL though, he pronounced all the names correctly.

You know why? Because that Z had mismatched front and rear wheels.

Exactly, it was fitting with added American flavor. Not the low key but high brow introduction they were used to? Even better!

I know right? The obviously reluctant facial expressions from the drivers other than Hamilton and Sargeant made it even more entertaining.

I didn’t think the drive introduction was that big of a deal until I saw the internet reactions of how cringey many European viewers felt. Now I am glad we did it.

Well said. All these “blames” flying around on social, corporate, or government issues about how young people can’t afford a $40k new car with their $70k salary instead of just do the math and make sound financial decisions.

Wait, you can actually get piping hot coffee instead of lukewarm?

That’s why I said this is not new, this whole system of scaled/tiered benefits is not new. It was not a problem for decades, why the uproar from only the past couple years? Perhaps those people always felt this way, but only given today’s social media platforms they finally can voice out loud? Maybe this is a problem

This goes back to my earlier statement (and yours as well) of how they need to identify themselves before receiving benefits. Discount bus fares for seniors and students? No problem. Free fare if you live below the poverty line? That’s a whole field of social and political land mines you don’t want to attempt to cross.

The same thing happened at school districts across the country. Families of students who received reduced price meals are shouting discrimination because among the students they know who paid less for the same meal.

After a couple rounds of bribery and embezzlement, about the same or worse.

People living below the poverty line would call that discrimination against them. Because they would need to identify themselves as those people first before they could receive benefits.

Hmmm was it possible for you to go to another Subaru dealer? Also, what kind of warranty did they offer you for the reman units, were you able to keep the 8 year 100k miles extended warranty?

First of all, there is an extended CVT warranty for that year of Outback up to 8 years and 100k miles. Second, if it’s already on its 4th CVT, then clearly the problem is somewhere else, perhaps the ECU programming. Third, other car brand’s CVTs are fine, just don’t get Subaru.

Except our definition of a worker is very different from youngsters today.

That’s quick thinking from the driver, I don’t think I would have reacted the same.

I would say half of the commenters here never seen a floppy disk in their life, so that is no surprised.

Exactly. People seem to forget a VCR would cost $1500 40 years ago, and that’s the actual money 40 years ago and not inflation adjusted to today.

Wait until you see the process of how the most upscale steakhouse prepare their $200 steak.
