The older Nissan VQs are known for their low RPM torque I think because of exactly that, the long plenum runners. Looking at the new VQs’ clamshell style plenum I really don’t know how it works.

I really don’t understand why they engineer newer plenum that way. I had an old Maxima and the plenum runners were engineered in a way to allow straight access to the rear bank of coils and plugs. In the generations after the rear plugs were covered, so that means the plenum needed to come off along with throttle body…

Some would have noticed except their exhaust noise overpowered their radio.
