Also, why doesn't Jezebel just put a sidebar on the side that lists the last 15-20 comments made on the site. That way people who commented later in the day on non-front page posts might have a chance at having someone read their comments. Another site I'm often on does this and it helps a ton.

@southbeachriot: Good point. Under this new commenting system, Snap Judgments should be renamed "Carefully Thought Out Judgments of Out of Context Photos".

I guess I'm not quite clear on whether there will be much of a change in the comments under this new policy. I really didn't see a problem in the first place.

Yes, that appears to be correct.

First, suppose that my boyfriend yelled for me to hurry across a busy street. Am I incapable of seeing that there are cars and I won't make it? I'm an adult. It's my own damn fault. But, yeah, more importantly why was she on the tracks in the first place. This is just poor decision making.

This show is basically the Molotov cocktail of reality shows.

People choose to have sex for many reasons and people choose not to have sex for many reasons, so I think that it's unfortunate that the NYTimes article couldn't explore more perspectives on this issue. There are plenty of well adjusted virgins and plenty of batshit crazy non-virgins, really, it's not that hard to

@J.D.Regent: Okay, what you seem to be missing is that there are other cultural factors going on in these other countries. The US is different from these countries in many ways. Furthermore, you didn't really address my questions about academia, finance and big law and whatever else. I think there might be

@J.D.Regent: Okay, well, let's look at how the world of finance works, let's look at law, let's look at how academia in the US works.

Also, is anyone else having the problem that their original comment doesn't show up until the post another one. I seem to have this problem often and I am wondering what it might be.

@J.D.Regent: I didn't suggest it would ruin us, I suggested that it would require a significant shift in the behaviors/expections of Americans and I'm wondering would we (Americans) be willing to put up with that shift. There's a difference between "ruined" and disrupting one's way a life to the point that they may

*confused as to what you are responding to.

@J.D.Regent: Is that response for me or is it for Gumbina 80? I'm confused with what you are responding to if it is really for me.

Suppose that these "perfect" maternity/paternity scenarios that people really want were to suddenly be implemented everywhere in the US. Could someone please explain to me how business would remotely continue to function in the same manner that it does today. Sure, several people are going to say, "we adjust" but this

That's why we call him Donny Douche.

I don't know, I pretty much get that feeling from a good number of the people I went to school with/read about/etc.

Wow, there was a lot of haterade consumed today, wasn't there?

Also, there's no way in hell I'd want my high school years on film. No. Fucking. Way.
