Well, it’s better than the other reality competition they were pitching, The Terrorist...

Which is why I always find it amazing that stock controllers don’t come with buttons on the underside that replicate the face buttons.  Why be forced to choose between face buttons and r-stick when you can simply do both?

I always remap buttons...

So, also bash all the players in Memorial Day baseball games? Or July 4th? Lambast the NFL because the Bills and 49ers played last year on Dec 7th?

The whole thing is stupid. Last I checked the next governor election is next year anyways, so whomever wins this year is only going to be in office for a year before the next election anyways.

Agreed. There is an issue where after manually checking the hundreds of hits it looks like none of them could have done it, but instead of realizing, “whelp, the AI must have missed one” they assume the most likely person of those who don’t really match must be the guilty one. But that’s user error, not a flaw in the

Benjamin Crump, who defends families of Black people killed by cops around the nation

From what I remember from a friend showing me a build a LONG time ago, one of the draws of the game is the attention to detail. Attitude thrusters firing in the right direction, walk around inside the ships, etc. So slapping in a new ship model isn’t quite as simple as one would expect it to be.

I can’t believe the reigning leader of an entire country has fewer life skills than a child who was literally raised by wolves.

Well, this wasn’t just a one-off disgruntled mail carrier. This was a SIZABLE portion of the studio that clarified that the treatment was outright “abusive”, with a majority of that coming from the female staff.

So, uhm, was this just them detecting an intrusion or was there an actual “We’ve locked your shit down, pay us “X” for the key?”  There’s all sorts of reasons for intrusions that aren’t “Ransomware”.  That’s a very specific type of intrusion.

Market testing and venture funding in one go?

Sure. But did the result get spitout because the AI was given a dataset that had images of black people matching up to “Primate”. (assuming it was even the black person on the picture it hooked onto, there were apparently 3 people in the picture, only one of which was described as a black person, yet it didn’t spit out

Because it narrows things down from millions of hits to hundreds of hits.

That brings up an interesting point, if the shooting is going on for long enough, is there a point at which the officers should risk returning fire blind? Presumably each shot fired at the officers has about as much chance (or perhaps more) of wounding a bystander as each shot fired by the officers* if the officers

Ballistics largely require there to be a bullet to recover to determine the flight path. Knowing that the bullet entered from the front doesn’t necessarily help you know which direction the shot came from if you don’t know which direction the victim was facing at the time they were shot. And most of the other

  • Is this because the study is pointless as they make no attempt to compare apples to apples?

Louisiana is closing seven nursing homes after learning that some residents were evacuated to a makeshift shelter at a warehouse where conditions are unhealthy and unsafe, according to state health officials. At least seven have died.

As one who is by nature skeptical, I find it entirely within the realm of possibility that 58 people (24 of whom are women) out of a company of 400 may self select into a union survey and anonymously lie about mistreatment to drum up support for unionization.

To be fair, we don’t really know how accurate “these figures” are. From google translate of the article, it suggests that the survey was “opt in” so self selection bias enters the picture. Without any indication of how many people chose not to opt in, (or what the original selection criteria was in the first place)
