As I understand defamation law in the U.S., the hard part isn’t going to be proving Dominion was damaged. It won’t be proving Giuliani didn’t have any actual evidence to support his allegations.

Maybe... though the typical reason why officers don’t face any disciplinary actions for stuff like this is because “they were following their training”.

Thing is, for a defamation lawsuit in the U.S., I’m under the impression the burden of proof is on the plaintiff. Giuliani doesn’t have to prove his statements are true. Dominion can’t even just prove Guiliani doesn’t really think they are true. Dominion has to prove they are actually false.
