Yeah I know. What I'm saying is that every time we're 'leaving' TNG (to a different show, or because TNG ended) they make Picard into an authoritarian jerk.

Quark is amazing and possibly the best character in the first season of this show (that's as far as I am).
The first season has Picard, Q and Lwaxana. I think that's quite a bit of crossover.
That's because you're probably Bajoran scum!
Ya got me!
Re: your note about Picard playing the authority figure. It's especially bad if you just finished watching TNG and compare it to the way he was portrayed in the penultimate episode 'Preemptive Strike'.
That conversation that Sisko has with the prophets is INFURIATING.
THAT'S ADORABLE.
False.
Worst. Thread. Ever.
BEAUTY PAGEANT.
While the cooking in this episode was great, it was WAYYYYY too commercial. They had to constantly cut back to the judges making bad puns about that shitty Snow White movie. Half of it was just a shitty ad.
We know you pulled the tldr, don't try to hide it.
You should check out the Wikipedia entry for this show (tomorrow) and the mythology section. They had a really good idea of what they wanted to do, just not 'how'.
Wow, Wally's overview is negative. I really don' think he gives this show enough credit.
This is one of the worst opening credit sequences ever. I love this show but I skip it every singe time.
The whole last season of that show is DREADFUL.
Yeah it's really worth watching just because I have never seen anything else like it. Sure it's slow at times, but it's often brilliant.
I dunno, half of that pilot was amazing and the other half is 'STOP ASKING WHAT TIME IS'
Or when it has good ratings and Fringe ends just move those guys over to Alcatraz. Maybe in a 'Lone Gunmen' type role.
