Le Mans win last year was very special, the team was in a very tough spot on Thursday with Jan’s crash and to be able to pull off the win after that set back was huge for everyone.
This was some of the best racing that I had the pleasure to be part of in 2015. 2 young guys in Richie and James, both finding their way in sports cars. It was aggressive and close racing but a lot of fun. I think Gary Pratt was having a minor heart attack while watching... We had 22hrs of racing left...;-)
We nap but only 1-2hrs really
The C7R is the machine for me. It’s a beast! Love driving it on the limit.
It’s fast
I had to do both, I suppose that’s what we are paid to do.
Yes
It’s a little bit of both. With Antonio I knew he was fast and smart. I knew he’d have a good crack at passing me initially but if that didn’t work then he’d look, wait and see where is the best spot. T1 was that spot, looked like he was going to make it stick around the outside but just left his braking a few metres…
I think the series has made a good step forward in the way they look at BoP. We’ll have to see how the season pans out and what adjustments are made.
I try to not get too wrapped up in the pressure and intensity during the build up of the race. I try to use my experience to keep things in perspective. It’s also good to get in the car some minutes before the start to just have some quiet time before it goes crazy.
It will be fast, for sure.
I have a whiteC7 Stingray at home, great fun on the English roads!
I’m not the biggest fan of road course ovals but Daytona is special and has a great dynamic. A unique challenge
Racing at the big sportscar events around the world is, in my eyes, the most fun for a driver. So much can happen during a 24hr race, the different conditions, the different cars and drivers that you are up against. It’s always changing and developing. It’s one big journey. It’s also great fun!
The watch is fantastic thanks for asking:-) The whole race seemed like a 24hr sprint race. It was flat-out the whole time. You could never relax, very intense. Tommy did a good job motivating me for those last 2 stints.
I think the new regs for our class are a good step forward. The cars look faster and more aggressive, I love them. I think the fans do too.
The 2016 C7R is a beast. The new aero package has increased downforce and so braking distances have decreased and cornering performance has gone up. Tracks like Sebring, Laguna, Road America will be even more fun! :-)
Closer to the later. Yes we do. We have radio earpieces.
I had a Peugeot 205 1.5ltr diesel... Max speed 92mph...
