This is a really, really good way of describing it.

[Laughs.]

Yeah, Riz Ahmed? He makes Jai Courtney look like an indie darling! Studios are just throwing him in everything nowadays. Can't have a bland action film without Riz Ahmed in it.

All of the Secret Wars tie ins take place in alternate realities smashed together, these aren't the main-continuity Cloak and Dagger.

I actually thought he was alright in Age of Ultron, not the least because he wasn't trying to carry the whole film on his over-muscled back. He's fine in an ensemble.

Not really, honestly. And having read both, they're both filled with stilted prose and plots ripped straight out of a book called "First Genre Novel Super-Basic Tropes".

They're pretty much the exact same thing, swapping the creepy incest bits for pandering 80s nostalgia.

Think Twilight, but if it was aimed at neckbeards who grew up in the 1980's. The lead character is exactly as much of a blank-slate Mary Sue (Marty Stu?) as Bella Swan, incredibly bland and uninteresting but also somehow super, duper special.. He saves the world, gets the girl, and learns some important things about

It's funny, since the film really got attacked from both sides on this in Japan. Japanese Nationalists felt like the film is to pacifistic and denigrates the Japanese war effort, while pacifists and those opposed to Japan's wartime atrocities saw it as too forgiving.

I'm definitely gonna at least stream the soundtrack, even if I skip the movie. The idea of a mainstream Philip Glass film score is just too enticing to ignore.

"This is the last one, guys! We promise!"

fans of forgotten four-color crimefighters who feel their favorite figure’s been getting a short shrift.

I have thankfully not found nor looked for any Hobbes porn, although I did see that clickhole video.

Yep. There is voice acting/narration (often by one person) and some pans across panels while expressions change and objects move (usually very choppy/stilted animation). I tried watching some of the Astonishing X-Men adaptation and a few others, and they just felt like incredibly cheap and ill-conceived cash-ins. If

The lettering was really off-putting, too. I struggled to read any of the Joker's speech bubbles.

They seem like an interesting form that's completely dependent on having a good writer/artist who knows how to use it. The X-Men '92 Secret Wars tie-in has been great, and I think the pacing benefits from the whole nested-panel thing.

Found a Superboy Tijuana Bible by Mr Dyslexic. It gets worse/better from there. These artists had a 12 year old boy's concept of how to draw genitalia.
