I tried to watch this show and was unable to get past the first 10 minutes of the first episode. Does it get better? Overacting always gets to me. Different from valid outrageousness, just plain old overdoing it for laughs.

Johnny Depp costume number three: bright frizzy hair, a suit made of something, and more makeup than Tammy Faye. All Johnny Depp movies should just be called 'Here's Johnny Depp in a Wacky Costume.'

Hey, I live in Montana! Can't wait to meet him!

I'm about three quarters through this book, and it's pretty stunning. She's a funny lady, though her humor doesn't come through too often. It feels as though she was hanging onto something that she *wanted* desperately to work, and it took a hell of a lot to bring her down. The 'The Talk' section is a snoozer (who

I'm now going to start using 'realisticness' in everyday language.

YES!

Because there have been multiple and obvious gay references about Mac since season one, including an intimate relationship with a transgender woman who hadn't had her penis removed yet.

Make that three.

omg shut the hell up.

Brick has irritated me from episode one. I'm so glad Sue and Axl have such great stories, it balances Brick out. He's written really well, I just find him endlessly annoying. I'd leave him home, too, if I were the Hecks.

I want this to happen.

Please, PLEASE go back to Boston. I just can't stand him.

I'm still convinced Tom and Mary are going to get together, setbacks be damned. It's the least they can do for dragging us through two violent spousal deaths, several Tom flip-flops, and years of Mary pretending not to care about anything, ever, because her ONE TRUE LOVE is gone.

Haven't watched this, but plan to. I've never liked recreated scenes as a documentary device: they're almost always badly acted and badly filmed. And it sounds like that is the majority of the second section. I'm not optimistic, but still looking forward to seeing it for myself.

I watched it on purpose, and made myself sit through the beheading. I wanted to understand as much as possible what these people were going through on a daily basis. It was stuck in my head for weeks and weeks, and I felt an amazing amount of anger. It definitely put the situation in perspective for me and made the

Who wants to bet they end up together?

There is one scene in season 3 or 4 where Isis the dog is dying, and Cora invites Robert and Isis to bed with her for Isis' final hours. That little tiny interaction solidified my affection for Cora. She's been at times thoughtless and somewhat rude, but her heart is gold.

Gah, Sibbie. I cringe every time Mary says it.

Tom has annoyed me from day one. First, his self-righteousness, then his turnabout, then his second turnabout, and now apparently his third turn-about, all left me cold. And Bunting, my God, Bunting. I fast forward her scenes.

Thomas has been getting fired for, what, 5 1/2 seasons now? I suspect they'll find a (contrived) way to keep him on board till the end.
