I'm not being obtuse. I'm a highly intelligent person who happens to disagree with you.

In all the years of watching red carpet events I don't ever recall anyone asking an actress about their diet for the show. Everyone in Hollywood pretends they are naturally that thin and that it isn't anorexia or coke that makes them so skinny. Even by E! standards asking that question would be beyond tacky.

This really isn't difficult. Here, I scripted it out for the convenience of any red carpet interviewers that may be reading this:

I hear ya. But there are approximately 150 of the world's biggest celebrities crammed into a small space for about 45 minutes (thd height if the red carpet). It's just not the place for long chit-chats with anyone. The movies I care about I google and read in-depth interviews with the actors/directors. I don't

I had the opportunity to go to the Oscars two years ago, and I can tell you there's another reason why more substantive questions aren't often asked — the red carpet is LOUD. It's often very hard for the celebrities to hear what's being asked, and for the interviewer to hear their answers.

I don't think asking that question ties their accomplishment to their looks at all.

I just don't think there is anything disrespectful about asking people what they are wearing at a fashion event. The same "Who are you wearing?" in the Oscar press room—-completely inappropriate since the Oscars are about honoring the art and craft of filmmaking. Asking someone who they are wearing and to display

I'm conflicted about this idea. In theory, Bravo! In reality, awards season is so long and I'm bored with hearing and seeing the same winners/speeches/red carpet q&a. I would love hearing who really inspired so and so but they give a lot of canned bs answers anyway and the interviewers aren't Charlie Rose or James

E! canceled it and replaced it with clutch cam. I mean they also have a shoe cam, which i don't mind as i love shoes. I am waiting for them to make nopanties/vagina cam.

But the red carpet IS a fashion show. That's the whole purpose of the red carpet.

i watch Oscars for all the pretty dresses.

I think there is a time and a place to have serious discussions with actors regarding their work. I don't think the red carpet at the oscars is necessarily it. Given that point, I do have tremendous respect for Nicole Kidman for not answering a question that she doesn't want to.

God, I LOVE Michael Keaton. "Head to toe Spanx - especially on my toes. I have FAT toes."

No. Fuck this. As a fashion designer who's dream was to see someone wear a dress of hers on the red carpet, you can certainly ask her more, but don't ask her less. Don't shit on my dreams because they have a standard leading question. This year I was able to see one of my designs walk down the red carpet on an actress

It confuses me why talking about clothes, etc., on the red carpet is "bad." That's what a red carpet of an awards show is for, I thought...

The red carpet is all about the clothes for me. I often watch it close-captioned so I don't have to hear the yammering but I can read who the designer is.

Lower leg *compound* fracture? Doesn't that mean the bone broke the surface of the skin?

Breaking F1 News Andrew Benson BBC senior F1 writer reports, that Fernando Alonso crashed coming out of turn three at Barcelona during the final day of testing at 150 mph and was airlifted to the local hospital. Alonso agent said he okay and awake hopefully he nothing more than badly shaken up.

you know a good way to avoid breaking your leg just before the biggest race of the year? Don't race in the smaller series. Why is this still popular? I understand the driver's desire, but why is everyone else on board?

Harvick called them out on the fact that they were doing the renovation to the grandstands, but didn't want to put in SAFER barriers on the interior walls last year.
