As FallenOffTheRecord mentioned in an earlier post, The Babys weren't around too long, but they were really a terrific band!

I'm rolling through all their tracks on You Tube now, I know this band a lot better than I thought I did. The only track I've found so far that I don't know is "Midnight Rendezvous". Geezus, what an epiphany. I owe you one, mate. :)
I'm more on the Morrissey side myself, but:
that's a tough one. One of my childhood best friends gave me the ultimatum of "if I'm not your best man, don't invite me to the wedding." I made my brotherycbest man and he didn't show up.
Do you remember this one, Gennifer?
Oooh you just killed me! In a good way. I was a way young'un when this song came out and never pieced together who sang it, then forgot about it as years went on. Having a love affair with this song right now. THANK YOU.
Every day is like Sunday
Man, I completely forgot about this. "Aka Cocaine Biceps" just made me laugh as hard as it did four years ago.
Oops, thanks for the correction!
Mr. Erg, your "Ain't That a Shame" made me think of another "Shame" song, this one by The Spinners.
I think you mean John Waite.
I've always thought about this song in both directions. First that there was a time when the old were young. And now for me, the young have the right to their own beliefs and their own choice in the directions they take. I also have every confidence that they'll get it right.
Pay no mind to the criticism, The Babys rocked!
The gradual amp-up on this track, also from Brits, is pretty stellar as well. :)
Because I Ain't Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore
I've always loved Britain's The Babys (led by Tom Waite) and their unique style of crescendo rock.
And whatever you're looking for, It Ain't Me Babe
Jimmy Fallon often imitates singers, usually as a goof. But actually, he's a huge music fan and also a very good guitarist.
Lord knows ..
