Very cool video that was featured over at Gizmodo yesterday. The music sounds like something Jan Hammer would write for the 80's "Miami Vice" soundtrack mixed with some Vangelis. Back in the 80's when I was in grade school I would've killed for a Trapper Keeper that had this DeLorean and graphics on it.

Don't be fooled by the cowbell at the beginning. It's not "Lowrider" by War. It's "Lost Due To Incompetence" by a mysterious band called Yesca. This is the only song I know from them and it appeared in the movie "Up In Smoke". The guitar player sounds like he borrowed Carlos Santana's guitar, amp and fingers.

I know I am late to the Party, but I just discovered the Elvis Costello and The Roots Album. All I can say is "wow!"

I think about getting skaman tattooed on my ass every time I'm out drinking

I wrote a piece about them a few months ago if you'd like to check it out.

Love that song, puts me in a thoughtful, introspective place of mind. Not a bad place on a long, cold night.

I know the Marshall Mathers LP2 just took RAOTY at the Grammy's, and while I haven't heard it yet, can we collectively acknowledge that the original is probably unfairly underrated? People talk about great hip-hop from the 2000's and no one mentions this record. Try it, I guarantee you they won't. You'll hear all

As I said in the previous reply, I know how Stewart feels. You just get to a point where you are exhausted. When I left my job of almost two decades (more than a third of my life), I was emotional because it was just a relief. The point he made that hit it home was about wanting to have dinner with his family. The

I wanted to kick Bill Maher for calling him a pussy for this.

He was basically the millennial's (ours) version of Johnny Carson. I figured he would go on for at least another decade in his current position.

The biggest silver lining to all of this is Arby's reaction:

Very, very well said. I just want to thank the guy and tell him that he (and his protege Colbert as well) had the amazing quality of not only doing everything you said, but also making you feel like you'd love to be friends with the guy. He just exudes kindness, decency, and integrity on top of epic talent.

Jon Stewart deserves serious props, no matter your choice of political party. He's gotten in more shots on republicans than I could ever count, but we (republicans) are better for it and it's sad to see him leave. He also created a way to do the news that for a younger generation is not just tolerable but widely

Jon Stewart always gave me a way to work through the anger and frustration and ridiculousness and wrongdoings of politics and people. Whatever awful thing had happened, you could watch him and even though the problem didn't get better, you at least could work through it and just go "Ya, somebody fucking gets it." And

So their promise of "devotion" can't be a gift to you but yours is a gift to them? Yeah, okay.

I got married on Valentine's Day two years ago. Whenever people IRL find out they always coo about how romantic it is (though maybe they're just being polite and silently judging). In reality we chose it for two reasons: 1) we wanted to get married on a holiday so Mr. Elle would remember; 2) I moved to his country on
