Yeah. Sorry I didn't embed that for you. Nixon's a freak, too, Martha Quinn, lol, last I heard. But it's been ages.
Have you ever heard Mojo Nixon sing Don Henley Must Die? The Eagles were more of a California chill during tumultuous times. And , Crosby was a total freak, so there is that. But, there's no denying his music. I was never an Eagles fan, but I also stopped being a Crosby fan after C,S, and N broke up.
He disappointed me when in later years he referred to himself as just a piano player regarding his early work.
One of my top top favs forever. Elton was so young, his voice so pure, and this song so bleak and yet hopeful if that makes sense. The space program was part of my life as our family watched and dreamed. I always thought of those dreams and events after. In fact, I became a journalist the day the Challenger exploded,…
A lingering longing. And sadness. I jump to Captain Fantastic or just away after this one plays.
Four Way Street. Yeah, Almost Cut My Hair when I wanted to wallow in angst. So many amazing songs on that piece of plastic.
edit. My bad. His name is Tab Benoit from south Louisiana, where I long to be.
Hate it for you. Since you played some blues, I'm adding one young guy I like. Hope this works.
True, enough. I have to say it was a tough hang for him harmonically with Crosby, Stills, And Nash. Probably for the best they parted ways. Damage Done.
Bravo, Luv. You do not disappoint.
Mayer is talented, and he has won awards, sold a lot of music. Ok. But to call him "one of the greatest living guitar players on the planet," hahahaha. That's an incredible statement. Simply incredible. I say this as someone who likes the musician, though not the man from what I've seen and read.
Bravo. Sums him up oh so perfectly. I salute you with my star.
So true and didn't intend to give the impression they could cause diabetes. I do know they contain carbs and my mom has to watch her intake, not that beans themselves are classified as such. Sorry if that caused confusion.
Good observation. In my interpretation and from what I've read, Tumbleweed is more about the early American West. Spanish Catholic missionaries and the move west, Native Anericans being slaughtered from Yankees moving west where tumbleweed are - especially in Burn Down The Missions. No tumbleweeds in the south. …
Beans are high in carbs. Carbs turn to sugar during digestive process. Sugar is bad for people with diabetes. Peas, same thing, except they also are naturally higher in sugar. My mom has type two. Sadly, these two foods are excellent sources of protein, but people with diabetes must take care. Hope this helps.
I'm From Louisiana, and the cockroaches don't hiss, but they are huge, and they will fly right at you. My personal and effective way to combat those ubiquitous creatures is simple: Never, never make eye contact. this seems to work effectively with wasps for some reason. I am not a scientist. Simply my anecdotal…
Agree. So, so happy when Clapton returned to his root music. So happy. Never went back to Elton. F'g hated, hate, and always will hate Rod. I lived in Scotland in the early '80s. Yeah.
He transitioned his music into a new style that appealed and still does, I guess. But he lost me. I think much of that had to do with the split from Taupin, which I am foggy on and could be wrong. Having said that, Elton's old sound, in my mind at least, is more current than his current sound if that makes any sense.
Glad to hear another generation enjoying such great music. It really is one of my fav albums. I'm also a big fan of Van Morrison, Ry Cooder, Elvis Costello and all blues. Louisiana native. Music and food in our veins. Back on topic, Taupin is/was really into western America from what I understand, which sort of feeds…
