This guy I follow on YouTube just got in a 2004 Jaguar X-type with 41K original miles. Jaguar’s green is the best green out there.

+1 for Green. Jaguar Racing Green Metallic in my case. ALL the women in the office loved it... and often went out of their way to say so :)

Dark green is one of my favorite car colors, and I have no idea why it’s so scarce. I remember at hte car show a few years ago it seemed to be on its way in as a lot of display cars were wearing it. But that hasn’t seemed to translate to the population

Always a good combo. A few years ago I went to Bentley’s configurator and specced out every single model in Apple Green Metallic and a rich saddle brown leather interior. I do it for all my GTA cars, too (at least the ones with interior colour options).

They quoted me at 2 grand (or thereabouts), which I thought wasn’t that bad for a personal “fuel pump”.

That'd be a Pinto, Bob.

yeah, the charging aspect of price and installation should be factored into the price, but for me, the leaf was a great entry level EV, and now that I’ve had it for 3 years, and have all the charging infrastructure, i’d like something nicer and newer, that isn’t a tesla, as literally every third person in seattle has

Where have all the green cars gone? Oh God, for another 1998 Cadillac Eldorado in emerald green with a biscuit and tan interior!

My current car is the first red car I’ve ever owned after a cluster of cars that were several shades of grey. Red Mica Mazda6 of course - probably the best red on the market, even if the paint is a bit thinner than I’d like.

The only problem is that it is too expensive. I wanted one but was driven away by the price. I even went as far is getting a quote for installing a charger in my parking space.

How cool! Thanks for the explanation.

Honda would sell a [checks notes] kagilllllion of these if we could get them. I’d trade my leaf in tomorrow.

Your point is so true throughout all aspects of society now. The absolute disdain and vitriol spewed forth by many internet commenters is a perfect example. Nobody is allowed to enjoy anything any more, because everything in some way has a flaw that must be exposed or magnified. I’m an elder millennial and our

I read a study a while back that one of the reasons why so many shades of white, gray, silver, and black exist on vehicles is because they’re “safe” colors.

COTD

No more solid black or grey interiors would be a good start.

Right—the easiest answer is one word: Colors.

This. The market doesn’t exist anymore. But it’s not crossovers that are the killers of fun. My wife has a Renegade Trailhawk that I don’t like, but there are a lot of fun elements to it. And she loves it.

If more car makers offered a decent shade of red, that would be a good start.

At this point temp checks are just security theater.
