Shilling is the dude that penned an article about how his low beam bulb burned out, so he just ran with his high beams on because he didn’t want to change it. Then he followed that up with an article about how he was too lazy to move his car so they could sweep the street on his side, and he’d just pay the ticket

Can confirm this is a thing. I used to work for a Street Department and we had freightliner trucks with Mercedes engines. They were giant turds, but they had these “powered by Mercedes Benz” badges on the fenders. At a stoplight one day, I had some guy hanging out of his window yelling about how it was ridiculous that

He’s also the man that admitted on an open forum that HE was one of those assholes that drove around with his high beams on “for a few weeks” because he was too lazy to change his burned out low beam. And don’t forget that he would would rather pay for parking tickets and not move his car for the street sweeper, so it

I’ve said for years if they could do a game (or movie I guess) following Malak and Revan during the Mandalorian wars, it could be spectacular

I’m just sitting here waiting for another KOTOR...

Remember that this is the guy that would rather pay for tickets and not move his car for the street sweeper, so it can get all the debris off the road before it goes into the storm drain, though.

I would guess not. The city I used to work for, would kick and scream any time we asked to replace burnt out ballasts and bulbs with LED’s. Something like higher up front cost and not caring about what the electric bill was or something. Even when our local utility company offered a rebate on LED conversions, our

All season tires?! On the snow?!! You maniac! This is still Jalopnik, right? I thought we shamed people for driving on all season, or god forbid, summer tires in the winter! 😂

My current car is a Pontiac G8 with an intake, exhaust, tune; and it doesn’t suffer from that “feature” at all haha. I think top end, my old Jag would take it but off the line there’s no contest. Granted the interior in the G8 sucks in comparison, but that’s GM for you haha

This ^^ Tires spinning and the car wouldn’t wind all the way out in first gear for some reason, it would like short shift almost. I guess it was at least semi-common because some people on the jag forum joked about how the cars wouldn’t wind all the way out or they’d break traction going into second, and that would be

I miss the real leather everything, and the tomb-quiet interior for sure. I have a Pontiac G8 GT right now and while the exhaust makes much nicer noises, I miss the Jag interior

At the time it seemed fast! It was a first gen though, a 2007 I believe. He still has the Charger though, and my Jag has been gone for a few years now... lol

It’s all fun and games until the coolant hose UNDER the supercharger bursts and cripples the car at the most inconvenient time. I had one of these and it drove like a dream (when it worked). I threw a smaller pulley on the supercharger, an intake, and intake tube and it kept up with my friends SRT Charger (when it

I mean I wish it were that simple, but that’s not the case. It’s for all the cars that have fluids leaking, debris from yard waste and leaves, and yes trash. Those things absorb the fluids from cars and pollute rivers and streams. Throwing trash into the street definitely doesn’t help, but this is a bigger picture

The thing is that street sweeping isn’t even just to make the streets look nicer, it’s more to do with storm water and the runoff after rainstorms. All the crap in the gutter ends up in the streams and rivers unless it gets picked up by, oh I dunno, a street sweeper lol. Aside from just telling people to be dicks,

Sameeeee. My parents went from a (boring but rock solid) 96 Caravan to a POS 2003 Caravan. When they sold it, it only had like 60k miles but you’d think it was missing a 3 in front of that 60.

No way dudes. I saw what happened on Hoovies Garage when he LS swapped his Porsche. It met the same fate his original engine did, on the exact same track lmao. CP all the way

CFA Lemonade is the only lemonade IMO lol. But kidney stones reoccurring forever was a big fear of mine also, since my dad still gets them so frequently. He passes about 1/month it seems and I think I’d rather do just about anything but that.

I don’t envy you man! One thing I’ve credited with helping mine is I drink real lemonade every wednesday (from Chick Fil A). My doctor told me the acid in the lemonade helps dissolve certain kinds of kidney stones. I gave it a shot and I’ve been stone free for a couple years now, knock on wood
