Get a car and rent a truck from Home Depot for $20 when you need it. They’re always available.

That’s one step above a Journey with half the excitement. A GTI would do almost everything that would without the illogical uses for a crossover.

with a rated towing capacity of 8,600 pounds.

Wheel bearings aren’t routine maintenance....

Thanks for saying this. It’s just another form of semi-active damping (and possibly worse than others depending on if this can only activate for stiff and it has hysteresis for releasing). Semi-active is on everything now including your mom’s MKC (escape).

Margins on vehicle manufacturing is terrible. It’s like 5-10% on a good day without the massive incentives. No one in their right mind thinks that’s RAKING it in. Those fuel economy measures are flipping expensive and they cost you at the final price of the vehicle. Is it worth an extra 5k for 0.2mpg?

In a vacuum, sure consumers want the most luxurious, most powerful, least emissions, most efficient, most safe, and cheapest vehicle available. What automakers have to do to get there 95% of the time make the vehicle terrible for the consumer to get the efficiency.

It’s not just better fuel economy in a vacuum. To get these numbers automakers are having to build special engines, special emissions equipment, lightweight everything, etc just to get 0.1mpg. These are very, very expensive items which raise the cost of ALL cars. Plus you have stop/start (which everyone hates),

Durango is fantastic. It’s also the highest rated vehicle at Chrysler in Consumer Reports. People love them. Go drive an R/T.

“Four wheel drive”

His comment is BS. It’s seven 1/4 turn fasteners. You don’t need any toolkit at all. That’s what makes it brilliant. Why would you kill MPG and styling 99% of the time if you can make it easily removable?? I mean obviously not taking it off is better, but this design makes it good for what you’ll use the Grand
