If a certain swedish car car company was still around I would say Nissan is the wrong answer. As Seinfeld said, “Saab represents, “See what everyone else is doing? We’re not doing that” ”

Dear Doug,
I found out less than a year ago what happened to my first car. I passed this burned up old Jeep on the highway in my home town on the way home from college for the weekend. As I passed I thought “No. It can’t be”. I continued on my way for about a mile, pulled in to the scrapyard up ahead, and waited for my sorry old…
I’ve always thought Koenigsegg’s transmissions sound like they shift awfully slow for a dual-clutch. I don’t suppose anyone can tell me why?
Between you and Matt Farah, I’m starting to want a Skyline more and more. I use to mostly ignore them as “grass is always greener on the other side” types of vehicles, but I don’t think that anymore.
I want to know more about the manual steering. I’ve heard so many mixed opinions about it that all sound pretty confused. My benchmark of steering feel is the manual steering rack on the Porsche 944. I want to know how it compares to that.
Holy crap these cars were a lot lighter than I was expecting. Every other aspect of them, however, met my very low expectations.
I need to know what the 2nd Swedish car was. I know you started out with a Volvo 850 / 240 / tank-boxmobile, but what was the other svede? Actually, screw it, just list all of the cars you’ve ever owned.
Chris Harris is like a grandfather. He gets to live with and enjoy the grandkids for a few days at a time and get all the benefits. Meanwhile, it's the parents that have to live with those kids and their problems, keep them going, and make sure they don't die.
You are exactly right, Chris. Top Gear is what got me into cars in the first place. When I wanted to know more about the stuff they showed on Top Gear I looked on YouTube. I started doing that just after /Drive started. Now I'm a certifiable nut with a 944 and an old Saab and I have Top Gear to thank for germinating…

You have opened my eyes Doug. Never again will I blur a license plate in my videos. Only half ass covered them anyway.
I can see why you got and H1 AND a Skyline. Driving only a Range Rover and a Hummer would cause me to go into small, nimble, fun car withdrawal. Also, you now have twice the material for your columns.
The small engine in the headline photo is the exact engine I have on my bike. I ordered it on eBay as a conversion kit from, you guessed it, China. I went out and took this picture as proof:
Is this actually an internal combustion engine, or does it run on compressed air? I only ask because there doesn't seem to be anything giving spark to the fuel. That and the valve timings seem to fast for a four stroke cycle.
71-80% Jalop. This quiz was made for my 1969 Saab. I like all the questions that pointed towards it like having a V4 and a 4 on the tree and a longitudinally mounted engine powering the front wheels. To all the others having issues with the quiz YOUR CAR JUST ISN'T WEIRD ENOUGH
The Saab 92h! No, this isn't really a production vehicle, but there were two made (I thknk). It's an RV based on a Saab 92, so it's an RV with a 2 cylinder 2 stroke engine making all of 28hp.
Is that Gallardo RWD or am I just expecting AWD donuts to looks different?
Well Doug, I don't really know what you would like so I'm going to present two very different options for you that I would like you to drive for the next year. One's old, and one is less old.
Fun story. When I was a kid in the early 2000's I had a very large book with specs and prices for basically all cars on sale that year (I think it was 2003 or 2002). One car caught my eye for being a bit odd. Under the Passat listing was the option of a W8 engine. I thought that was so cool because it was so…
