She was originally going to go with Summer Eve, but decided that would be too douchey...

That's always been one of my favorite gifs because every owl is VITAL to its level of cray, and they all show up 100%.

Personally, I think these owls have the sickest moves:

I did something crazy today - I signed up for a 28 mile hike as a fundraiser for Make A Wish. I'm super pumped & super terrified all at once. And -honestly?- it's the donation goals that's the most intimidating of this. I've got until June 9 to raise $2,500. Eeep!

It's not something I've ever thought about. Bit the second I saw your headline, I agreed, I didn't even need to read your supporting arguments. She would totally see it as an extension of her "independent attitude" and think all her "research" would make her more knowledgeable than those followers just doing what they

Perhaps she was born on February 29.

We will sit on the front porch of the general store, sipping our lemonade with mint leaves, rocking gently in the jasmine-scented breeze, as our great-grandchildren gather 'round our feet and beg to hear again the great epic, The Asseid.

Privilege means never having to say "I'm sorry (for my wrinkly-ass dong)."

Neverland Ranch? Next let's turn the Viper Room into a detox facility.

"Binge watching is for people who have a fuckton of house cleaning to do and what something to put on in the background." FTFY, science!

Thank you for writing about this.

I'm not racist because I have a brown friend.

"or the related but only slightly less odious assertion that men will pretend to be trans women just to get into women's restrooms."

You make so many excellent points in this piece Jia, but this one stands out;

It's all about the Benjamins baby!

I think she meant more that even privileged doesn't inoculate women from discrimination, not that the things that happen to privileged women are more important.

I'm definitely not glad this is happening (and am concerned for all the people who now have measles), but this is a much-needed wake-up call. I hope some anti-vaxxers will change their minds as a result of this.

Frankly this seems easily a pro-feminist issue as well. Don't many restaurants predominantly hire young, attractive women who are essentially decorations that happen to bring round drinks?

I don't see a problem with this lawsuit, honestly. Men are just as capable of pouring drinks as women and the fact that Ruby Tuesday's was only looking for female bartenders is probably a sign that they saw them as eye-candy rather than workers.

Ouch. Yeah, this is why I ask. Women seem to either love IUDs or hate them passionately. They're the cilantro of birth control.
