It's definitely a town worth visiting and exploring! I'd generally recommend summer over the rest of the year but I'm sure, as a person in Seattle, you are capable of enjoying a place in inclement weather. But definitely come down sometime if not this month.
Honestly, in terms of museums, I really don't think anything else here compares to Portland Art Museum. I feel like there should be a smaller, "cooler" place to suggest... but it is just genuinely fantastic and beautiful. And I'm not even very arty.
