I really miss the old Topless Robot site (founded by current io9 EiC Rob Bricken). Nowhere near as robust as io9, but it was thankfully bereft of the permanent outrage lens-filtered writing on seemingly every fucking nerd news site.

Wow, I’m honestly shocked that an io9 talkback about Alex Proyas is bereft of anyone virtue signaling about the casting of his last film, God’s of Egypt. Good job, guys!

To be fair, the booth lighting at that particular TCC booth was rubbish. The faces on all the Hot Toys exhibited there (Justice League, Thor Ragnarok) all looked off because of the strange lighting. I bet that once we see some actual studio photography, it’s gonna look pretty damn cool.

I watched Thunderball and Skyfall one night apart a few weeks back. At the 30 minute mark of Thunderball, Mr. Connery has bedded at least a few attractive women and killed many baddies. At the SIXTY MINUTE mark of Skyfall, Craig had sloppily killed, like 2 people and hate-fucked some girl on the beach. Blech!

As a 6-year old in the late 70's, I used to wonder why all my normally loud and boisterous older male cousins would watch Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman in complete silence, reverence and awe. In hindsight, I completely understand.
