I don't know about the second part of yr post, but it definitely was not nearly as hilarious or cutting as the internet wants me to believe. It was kind of funny, and went on too long. But that's my opinion of the past 2+ decades of SNL, give or take.

I imagine some Recordable discs were made better than others, so some will hold up and some won't. I'm thinking of those super cheap Imation brand CD-Rs….I made many a mix CD for friends back in the day, and definitely used Imation discs quite often.

If you click the Preview button in Handbrake, and you see video noise and/or the picture is distorted, then the disc is probably DRM protected.

and Netflix needing filler to bulk up their numbers.
