Yeah plus it's a pretty crowded genre these days. You'd need to browse Vimeo VOD and VHX to find most of it in the first place, and then try to separate the wheat from the chaff.

I think you're both right, but I'd agree that the slant towards disposable pop culture cinema has increased over the past year or two. Gets the clicks, pays the bills.

that's a sort of misleading headline (Pfork used it, too) considering we're just talking about alternate version of existing released material. technically accurate, I suppose.

Eh I feel like it's appropriate for a thing like Memory Wipe. WIth this column I feel like the emphasis has been (or should be) on the "OUR" and putting the soundtrack being discussed in the context of either the time period it came out, or the movie it is attached to.
