one of the most haunting final shots of any film i can remember.

"You can be part-time black, c'mon!"

C'mon, they were pretty tired when they wrote the review…it was already NEAR DARK

Point Break is the artsiest of that period of action films, for sure.

I hope Bigelow's well-deserved later-career renaissance means her underrated earlier films get re-evaluated. 'Point Break', 'Strange Days', 'Near Dark', 'Blue Steel'…all of these were overlooked a bit and have aged really well. Her career is pretty consistently quality. For me the only ones that don't really work are

the best kind of cat-person!

SERIOUSLY. That's deiberately provocative, to choose a widely-acclaimed and appreciated classic just to be 'controversial'. No credibility there.

'Equality' has become 'Women are infallible.'

'But buddy, YOU'RE the Clown Motel!'

I want to hang out with this gentleman.

SO-SY-EH-TEEEEEEEE

…and another thing.

antietam is harrowing stuff, even for the civil war.

Lynch is an underrated actor. a real gift for comic timing.

i really felt for him. never got the justice he deserved.

One of his better films, and I'm only a fan of maybe half of them. (Jaws, SPR, Schindler's, Catch Me If You Can, Close Encounters, The Color Purple, maybe Minority Report, maybe Jurassic Park, War Of The Worlds, Munich, Lincoln, Poltergeist).

Lots of tears. This man is a living avatar of a crucial chapter of our world history that'll soon be lost to time. My grandfather fought in the war, at D-Day, but he unfortunately died long before i was born. I wish i had gotten the chance to ask him for his perspective.

Ironic that this is a blatant knockoff of Pitchfork's 'Over/Under', and here they are interviewing a band at Pitchfork Fest.

does this mean WinRAR is the prison bitch in this scenario? I hope so.
