Tracy’s take is an excellent example of why he’s in shit with his local municipality.

can i suggest maybe lining up the cars a little more sensibly and cleaning up the ‘coverings.’ i’d bet you’d have fewer issues with the city/state if your cars weren’t covered in tires, haphazardly arranged all over the property.
I really enjoy cycling as a personal endeavor, but it’s almost as yawn-inducing as golf to watch as a spectator
You think? I’ve never once cared about bicycle racing, but this looks totally rad.
I’ll be honest, that’s about $100,000 less than I thought it was going to be, but to folks in the UK I suppose Defenders are as common as old Toyota 4Runners are over here.
This was my thought - it just looks like BA decided to update their livery.
Don’t motors at the wheels mean high unsprung weight?
I guess I don’t understand why selling 3 of these vehicles and buying a better daily isn’t on the table. I know you got burned by the xc70, but try a more reliable car next time. Don’t hate every corolla or hardbody pickup just because you bought one of the most likely to fail used cars on the road and it failed on…
Volvo people have an irrational love for Volvos. They say they are the best-built car anywhere, but people I know with old Volvos seem to be repairing them all the time. No more Volvos for you until you have the budget to repair and maintain them properly.
Point taken, but really, I’m hoping you didn’t buy an XC70 expecting it to be reliable in any sense. I even looked at those a few years back, but the horror stories on the forums and crap reliability statistics made me avoid it entirely.
If your initial response is, “buy an old Honda,” I’ll just mention that I’ve proven that this isn’t necessarily a good idea,
I have zero desire for any car where I have to fuck around with putting physical keys in locks. I have my Luddite tendencies when it comes to cars, but keys are very much not one of them. I have touch code locks on my HOUSES too. Physical keys are relics of bygone days.
“That’s it. No more manuals in our cars. It’s not worth the headache.” - Ford, in the near future
The 4-Series grill isn’t “borderline ugly”. It is god damn effing hideous.
Domagoj Dukec
It’s ugly
Yeah I’m with you. While I found this one interesting for the archimedes screw factor and how the oil/transmission fluid actually got from the transfer case to the speedo, the fact that someone continued to drive a car WITH OIL LEAKING DIRECTLY ONTO THE BRAKE PEDAL is so totally, utterly irresponsible.
Slideshow? uhh... I see the usual scroll to the bottom.
If you’d suggest that it looks like a Macan, I’d be with you.
So, two stories about why I switched to a medium weight car with excellent crash test ratings from my old idea of tiny car = hard to hit = safe.
