The Taycan purchase is not a surprise. Bill is a Porsche fan and also owns a freaking 959, which instantly grants him all kinds of cred that no amount of tweeting can undo.
IDK every time I hear Musk talk, it’s pretty underwhelming.
Even worse - never do someone else’s engine mount.
Flagged as hate speech.
The 4 door wrangler outsells the 2dr 4:1, why would this truck be any different? I think they’d have a hard time moving 2dr variants at any realistic pricepoint.
This is a bad take. Crank windows are good, but people want apple carplay, any less torque the Gladiator will never get out of its own way.
That’s the problem, you can get a bigger, more capable truck for the same money. There were plenty of Gladiators at the local Jeep dealership for well into the $50k range. That’s 3/4 ton truck money. I love the idea of a Wrangler pickup priced to compete with midsize offerings, not so much priced against 1/2 to 3/4…
Emissions, running costs, maintenance, NVH, never having to stop at the gas station, one-pedal driving, etc.
*sigh*
Um, this isn’t great advice. A base model and the higher performance model will drive completely different. Test driving a base Focus and the Focus RS are completely different and will handle much different.
“Can I outsmart someone that negotiates for a living by making them think I’m dumb?”
Tangent: I don’t understand people who want to “save” the wear-and-tear on their very ordinary vehicles like Toyota Camries and the like. They usually end up spending more to drive other cars than the depreciation and maintenance costs on their own vehicle. In my mind, cars are tools, meant to be driven, not put away…
Wise words, Farty McSprinkles
Brandon sounds like a true friend. Broken cars are easier to fix than broken friendships, so go easy on him next time! Great story as usual.
I get that these SUV coupe things are all the rage now (sorry, Acura ZDX for being too early to the party), but for the life of me I just can’t understand why someone would want the compromised roofline/headroom and cargo storage over an X5.
