You continue to miss the point. The system in place fails at its own justification. BOTH the max contract and the salary cap contribute to a situation where less desirable destinations are unable to meaningfully distinguish themselves to players. Keeping either or both basically hamstrings teams like Utah from being

Yeah, and it’s worth considering how fluky Golden State’s situation is: They only signed Curry to such a below-market deal because there was legitimate fear that his then-chronic ankle problems might prevent him from having an NBA career, and then he not only shook off those ankle problems but turned into one of the

I’d argue even that nominal goal is a bad one. It’s led to the idea that every half-decent player who hits free agency is worthy of a max contract, either because he’s the best player on a middling small market team, or a potential role player on a championship contender. This results in absurdities like the biggest

That’s true. The other issue of course is there’s deeper talent pools in the other major sports- it’s possible to assemble a very good team without a whole lot of star power. In the NBA you need at least one star, and probably more to win these days. There’s a finite supply of stars, and they’re now willing to leave

Wait... did a guy make a very special Twitter account just to express his dismay at this: Betrayward? And these tweets:

He isn’t wrong. A nation that allowed the cancelation of “happy endings” can’t be fully trusted.

“Lord, give me the confidence of a downright terrible sports writer.”

When I think of all the men and women who have died for our independence, laughter does not come to mind.

This won’t work well for you, because you put damn oil in your damn pasta water.

They acted in the best way possible? By crying about facial animations as though they completely killed the entire experience - and literally threatening people who they incorrectly thought was the animation lead on the project?

Yeah, okay...

You are aware that boxers are commonly referred to as “fighters” and a boxing match is typically referred to as a “fight,” correct? And even technical or defensive boxers are known as “technical fighters” or “defensive fighters.” And he’s 49-0. If Laura had called him one of the greatest knockout artists or sluggers,

You’re being nit-picky with my language. Gamers were immediately claiming Andromeda was unplayable and broken. It was a lot of things, however it was not unplayable and broken.

I think the problem isn’t with the criticism, it’s with gamers over-criticizing it and pretending they represent all gamers in whole. The game was at least decent; definitely not worth the shitstorm it got hammered with, and those of us that enjoyed and continue to enjoy it get to suffer for the opinions of that loud

The gamer community is consistently an embarrassment to the game community. I’ve been playing video games since I could press buttons. I’m almost thirty now, and with everything that’s happened over the past decade I can say this with confidence: “gamers” are the fucking worst.

The game had a lot of flaws but all in all I loved it. The gameplay and class customization was so much fun. Could have been GOTY material with a lot more polishing.

I haven’t beaten it yet and while I certainly have criticisms of it, it’s nothing like the scale people complained about. It’s Mass Effect, I can’t really imagine someone who enjoyed 1-3 coming into Andromeda and hating it.

I blame the mismanagement, but I also blame the gamers.

He didn’t sound like he’s painting it as Phil’s problem. When the offense spreads out and incorporates more pick and roll, people are going to ask what’s going on. He’s pitching this as an adaptation of Phil’s strategy when in all likelihood we’ll see the triangle completely abandoned. If anything he’s being

This comment is great because it affirms my foggy memory of a time when Wilbon wasn’t a get-off-my-lawn starfucking hack. I think he might’ve even been kinda good as a columnist once? Or maybe I just had lower standards.

I watch PTI from time to time and you described my opinion of the show perfectly.
