I want all the things to happen now! I don't want to have to save up for years to be able to afford a house, or get a good job.

I absolutely know what you mean about feeling like a failure for being unemployed and over-educated - I'm really hoping things will turn around for me soon. And for you, too!

I'm getting ahead of myself.

Yeah, definitely. My parents love to travel to remote parts of the world, so sometimes I won't hear from them for a few days, and I imagine them having been in an awful car wreck.

That's gorgeous! I'm really curious about what program you're in/what you're studying to be able to make cool projects like this. Where does one go to do these things?

I brought a handkerchief to the movie theatre just for my drool.

I don't think I'm classy enough to offer wardrobe suggestions for Spain (other than check what the weather will be like), but that sounds AWESOME. I'm sure you'll have a blast.

Daniel Craig. Because: James Bond in little sky-blue swim trunks. James Bond in a suit.

At some gyms I've seen cardio machines that you pedal with your hands, for people who can't use their legs. That's the only thing I can think of, unless you think a rowing machine might work (but there you do have to push against your feet, I think).

I'm with you on those tears. Against Me! was a big part of my life for several years (just in a fan sort of way), and I just love the grace (ha!) that they've both shown through Laura's coming out.

I am very much looking forward to adopting a rescue dog this summer when I move into a place that's pet-friendly. My lease is already signed, and I'm counting the days until dog-time!

I find a lot of them incomprehensible enough without the alcohol.

I love my electric coffee grinder: good for both coffee and making spice mixes of various kinds, when you really need that fine grind.

Thanks! Only three more to go - and I started the beer a little bit early.

Oooo, there's a book! I guess if I'd thought about it at all that would have occurred to me. I'm quite interested in movie adaptations of books and stories, so I'll have to check it out (of the library). I love this movie.

Only seven more essays to grade tonight... sigh. I just want to have a beer and watch Rosemary's Baby.

Yup. Same with my cats. I've only ever heard them make this noise while being transported in a car (which they hate) and it's usually accompanied by puking and diarrhea.

I'm kind of glad that I'm too old to have to try to navigate these fashionable waters. Pretty sure I always dressed too frumpy to be blogged about anyway.

I'm trying to work up the courage to post this Salon article on Facebook in response to a right-wing story about a supposed liberal media cover-up. I'm just not sure I can handle the backlash.

I heard Rehtaeh's mother interviewed on CBC's As It Happens. It was very brave of her, and also very heartbreaking. I'm tearing up again now just thinking about it.
