I'm not really aware of R Kelly except peripherally. Good to know the reason he's hated is for pedophilia. Noted.

Wait wait wait....
I see we've rediscovered this.
"Profit justifies any behavior"?? I think you're the one who checked their sanity at the door here.
"Scumbag"? Grow up.
I support those "vandals". Sounds more like guerrilla activism to me.
Historically accurate? Yeah those heels are totes historically accurate.
I would also take the raffle-less task because fuck raffles, I wanna go home.
No, actually, you really don't. Nothing makes that letter okay.
His American accent could use some work. But fuckit, this looks fun.
Nice completely unfounded condescending tone. Has just the right touch of pointless spite. *slow clap*
What the fuck, seriously? Yes, that aside totally made this article about Lindy, rather than just driving home that this shit doesn't only happen at those other schools but has probably happened at your own alma mater.
Shut it, troll. Not resisting in no way implies consent in a society where women are in fear of being killed or beaten by men.
Do I detect the dulcet tones of a mansplainer?
I heard this reasoning for the first time from a white woman while I was calling out a black man on his sexism. It was eyerolling and a bit stunning to me that she honestly thought I shouldn't call out his bullshit misogyny and allow him to think his oppressive behavior was acceptable because of her white guilt.
A lot of other upset feminists on this thread feel the same way. Like their feminist card is going to get pulled.
Culturally, there's already unequal ownership of responsibility.
No one's saying you should feel shitty about it. But it is supporting a system of oppression and people are allowed to feel gross or disappointed about that.
It does have an effect. Whatever their special extenuating circumstances, that is a choice that upholds the sexist status quo.
Uh, no. Choices aren't made in a vacuum. We've all been raised in a society entrenched in sexism and tradition is sexist because of that. So making choices in line with tradition, even if you have super special reasons for them, those choices are still supporting sexism. The status quo is sexist.
