Lol. Well, I certainly wasn't listening to that stuff in 2010, but point taken. I don't think I'm primarily complaining about the music choices (although, honestly nothing's stood out to me [I do think I recall the throat singing]), but how the music's being used. What's going on on screen and the music we're hearing

You think? I (now!) seem to remember him saying "everything but the glass" or words to that effect.

Well, I think the reviewer last week was saying it's more about how Varga says stuff rather than what he's actually saying? Like, a lot of the time it's just kind of 'cultured' bluffing/intimidation that doesn't have any actual relevance?

Yeah, me too I think. And Wrench if he'd had his fringe jacket on!

Yeah, I was sitting there thinking, OK, why are they going to such pains to make sure I get a look at this guy, I'm obviously suppose to recognize him. Nah!

They actually started out promising in their first scene, or the first scene they "talked" to each other, at the trucking station. A little gimmicky to care much about, but it wasn't a bad gimmick, I didn't think.

Hmm.. .OK. I will do that. I'm kinda used to people just breaking down at seeing that kind of pic of a loved (?) one they didn't know was dead, so maybe I noticed not seeing that more than anything.

Yeah, 94%-96%, i'd say :)

I just got a funny image of Vargo tearing into the presents like a kid on Christmas morning. Nah, I think he uses that knife at any chance. I know I do mine! I'm not sure a switchblade felt right though. Though, I guess a straight razor might've been too over-the-top.

That was the best bit of the episode for me. Kind of a theme of Fargo, one crooked thing leading to another.

Gosh darn it this is just the problem pretty girls have being taken seriously as actresses! But, yeah. I think she's well written and well acted (and hot). I sympathize with her more than the other characters and I think there's nuance there that isn't present elsewhere. For instance, it's never made explicitly clear

You're obviously not a big enough fan ;)

I'm a huge fan, watched both seasons for the first time maybe a couple months ago and I recognized neither him nor the music. Yes, I am really bad at picking up on stuff on shows, even from episode to episode, but considering that season aired three years ago, I don't think it's completely implausible that someone

I'm just thinking of it as Varga being a consummate professional. We don't know anything about his background other than his being British, and I can kind of work a vague backstory around that that works for me. Knowing what kind of guys he needs and how to treat them just comes along with that. There's only been one

I'm glad you said that last bit, I was about to comment to that effect. Everybody seems pretty much good with it, but I am just not really invested, never mind arc welded to the screen like I was with the last two. That scene with the bus that everyone's commenting on about the drums? There was amazing music usage

He had a couple good lines there!

Emmit's portrayal irks me, but that was a funny scene.

Oh, that's who she was sitting next two? I was trying to figure out why that guy was being shown.

Wait, I am so out of it that I need to ask this, but when she was shown the photo she didn't know Ray was dead yet, right? I've never doubted that she cared for him at least as much as she was using him, but she had literally no reaction to that. So, I was actually experiencing the opposite twist. Not that I've really
