My advice generally shakes out the shady/shitty dealers in a hurry so you can tell if you want to continue shopping there or not. Not all dealers are shady/shitty. At least have a path that can parse that out for you.

The price should be the price of the vehicle irrespective of financing or trade-in. If they can’t give you a price on a vehicle before all this then you really shouldn’t be dealing with that dealer.
