Should Tesla quit manufacturing cars then the charger network has a limited afterlife. Unless they retrofit them and make it available to all EV’s. And even then they will be competing with other established charging networks. Their battery tech is their only ace in the hole.

That is, until they start making over that amount...

Unless Tesla lied about their Model 3 pre-orders then they are still building and delivering on those. They have only made ~300k Model 3's and stated pre-orders of over 500k. They are still just catching up with initial demand. What happens when that bubble bursts?

Yes, the MX-5 unmodded has always been lambasted for its’ slowness.

While not high, I won’t pay $6k less for a car that is 7 years older and has 3X more miles/year on it. Supercharger and a stripe is not where I want to be. Nor do I want a car where in three years no one is going to give me a shiny dime for it.

I think you are woefoefully wrong on both counts. I’ve driven every gen of Miata, I find the NC to be a wonderful ride. Priced used Miatas lately? Have you driven a ND? At $33k new and a ride that is not as good as the NC (my opinion), I’ll take one at half the price that has seen less than 2k/year on the odometer.

Look, I can have a smoking stereo in any car. I don’t need “software”, I don’t need regen in an ICE. If I could have one feature on the Tesla it would be the sentry mode. I OWN an electric car, OK? Unmodded, half the mileage and 7 years newer for $6k is too high? You should really check the going market.

NC is a better daily driver, in my opinion.

I like the idea of a Scion, but how about a mid-aught’s VW Rabbit? Heck, even a Ford Focus. You can deal either of those for a deal under $7k and get one with relatively low mileage and NOT be embarrassed to use it on date night.

Of all the clever features that Tesla has developed, this is perhaps the only one I would like to have on any of my vehicles.

Going to test drive on Sunday a 2014 Miata GTHT with only 24k on the odometer and priced under $19k. So I would definitely call this one overpriced. And the supercharger...just why? Because you want the whine and to ruin what is basically a great car all on its’ own?

I live within walking distance of the D-Backs stadium for years. Hardly ever went. While you could get a relatively cheap ticket, why pay 2-3X as much for a hot dog and a beer? Although, props to them for the All-You-Can-Eat seating section. Unfortunately, the food offerd would have brought on diabetes and/or heart…

Similar to the Hulman’s keeping the Indy 500 off of the local broadcast stations. And rightfully so, now of days. They would lose half their attendance.

Not only that, but the games would become more meaningful.
