This X2. My regular-ass, slow Outback wagon has semi-auto cruise control, heated seats, auto-dimming (which auto-dims the high beams when a car is coming the other way, very handy) lane assist, auto braking, e-brake, all kinds of crazy shit. This, barely 10 years ago, was revolutionary in a Mercedes, and the ONLY way

1st/Neutral: Mercedes currently has a stodgy image as a cheap luxury manufacturer; meaning, their cars are pricy, poorly built, and will likely break down from an innumerable amount of electrical issues in less than five years.

That’s unfortunate, because I’m a weirdo who appreciates those things.

It’s true. Because I personally believe it’s impossible for a human being to be 100% objective. Bias is seeded in personal values, values that are a deep part of our being. This is also because there is no “truth” as nothing is 100% true, either; it’s all told from within a human being’s perspective, even if it’s

1st Gear: Is it possible that all the cost cutting not make its way directly into the product? I passed through a Mercedes-Benz dealership the other day to look around and not one model had real exhaust tips... not even the top-line AMGs... just fake plastic insert pipes into the rear bumpers (look underneath and you

I was thinking Cruz too haha. lol love Mahk!

This, 100%. Current styling isn’t great, but it is at least a little distinctive. This new one is very, very generic, I would honestly confuse it for a Toyota, or a Hyundai.

It was kind of ahead of its time, before the whole crossover craze. It was also a decent wagon, which you could have with a powerful V6 and AWD. The result was just too strange for people to accept it for what it was, but today they are very sought-after. Every time I see one on the road I do want one.

Looks a little Toyota-ish... at least to my eyes. I kind of like the current-gen’s rear styling more, because of the arrow-like light design (not sure how else to describe it) it’s more distinctive. But I do like the idea of a liftback on a Civic, that’s cool.

Good looking wagon, but DAMN I really like that interior. So clean and properly laid out (in my mind). It sucks we won’t get Peugeot here... I was really looking forward to living out my Blade Runner 2049 fantasies...

Oops, yes, thnx

Look of new BMW is only part of the problem, as others here have eluded. It’s also the build quality. Look at a BMW, any BMW, from five years ago; you will notice the grille, assembly (inside and out) quality of the plastics, it’s all different; now it all looks cheap, mass-produced, like just off an assembly line in

People with a lot of money don’t necessarily have a whole lot of sense (rich Saudis come to mind). It’s just a matter of that they can, I suppose.

This. Heritage means nothing when the quality of your product is wonky at best. People start to notice, and lose patience rather quickly.

I forgot about the Cyborg Mirage and FTO! Those were such cool cars.

1st gear: Mitsubishi as global brand has been slumping for years, so no surprise. In North America, we didn’t even get the Pajero, or other vehicles (available only in Asia and Oceania markets), like the current-gen Delica, but I do wonder how much better sales would’ve been if they were offered here too. I guess

Why not the Outback though? The 2.5 is somewhat of a sloth (I know) but it’ll get you there, even fully loaded. You can get the 3.6 flat-6, or go for the newer model with has the 2.5 still and the 2.4 turbo as optional. I don’t have kids, and don’t want them anytime soon, but I can say for the the Outback is a solid

Man, this x1000000. Just pisses me off, and they ALL do it.

Is that a Pinto?? That looks hot.

Iacocca also showed Ford how to do a proper Lincoln, the 69-71 Continental Mark III; all Henry wanted to do is dumb it down, but eventually succumbed to Iacocca’s ambitious ideas for that car. That’s why we ended up getting a chop-top 20-ft long coupe with a 6'5-long hood and big-ass V8 that was so posh and advanced
