That 3.6 was smooth, but kind of a dog when you put your foot down. Pretty excited to see what the 2.4 can do in the Outback.

I am SO for a hood scoop on the turbo Outback. But I totally get why they didn’t add one in. Subaru knows their Outback buyers very well. I don’t see grannies and granddads with massive hood scoops driving around - and neither does Subaru.
This. I think this had to be said. Subaru knows their Outback buyers very well. I don’t see grannies and granddads with massive hood scoops driving around - and neither does Subaru.
I know I’m a little late to this party, but goddamn the new Outback looks great in that green. I’m still tempted by that 2.4; to the point that I’m considering trading my 2018 in... only issue I have is I don’t want more car payments :( choices choices
Easily the best of the TIE series fighters. Unless we count the TIE X, but that wasn’t mass produced.
I actually love the look of the S7. Looks wider, lower, a lot more aggressive. And that ass... mmmmmmmmmhmmmmmmmm....
I think you’re onto something here. The words I’d describe this void in the automotive realm as though is “fun” or “crazy” - nothing out there today really is any of those things, especially with the flood of crossovers that all pretty much drive/look the same.
Love that interior. Kinda spaceship-like. If Peugeot comes back big in North America and brings the wagons... I am SO in.
I’d like to think the Eagle is the spirit animal to my current Outback. It doesn’t really belong in any vehicle class, but it does at the same time...
Yeah, this is the gen I saw the other day. All black in Touring V6 trim. Looked pretty damn sharp.
Honestly, I think it’s because I’m in Victoria, BC, where “outdoors-y” vehicles like pickups/crossovers/jeeps rule
To me, it looks different than most other mid-size sedans out there, and the soft-fastback look was kind of a ballsy take by Honda, IMO. I’m not a huge fan of that fat ugly chrome grille piece, which is why if I’d get one, I’d get the Sport, which comes with blacked-out grilles and much less chrome.
Man, I’m right there with you. I came very close to getting an ‘18 Accord, but settled on an ‘18 Outback instead as well. MUCH more room (I’m a tall guy, so I appreciate my headroom) very practical and can drive on literally anything. What it kind of lacks in is power (2.5i) but hell, I guess you can’t have ‘em all.…
I came very close to buying one last year; I was looking at a 2.0T Sport with the 10-speed auto, but I changed my mind and went for an Outback instead since I needed something more rugged with a tailgate and good ground clearance. I do miss the thrust and handling in the Accord though. I may look at an Accord again in…
Pretty sad to see sedans continually fade from buyers’ shopping list of vehicles, especially in a time when manufacturers are still at least trying to bring in new models every few years. I’m surprised the new-ish Accord didn’t make that list; I can count on my fingers how many of these things I’ve seen on the road,…
I hear that lol - my Outback is a kind and slow herbivore on dry pavement, but give it some rough roads and snow and it’s a tank. Never owned a vehicle that just loves this kind of shit.
If your comment was inspired by this, I say, well played.
Android Auto works pretty good. I feel like after they did the firmware update the glitches and weird bugs went away *knocks on wood* but I do remember two weeks in after my purchase the whole console just died (they fixed it later after a factory reset/re-update). I was pretty alarmed by that tbh. Seems to be…
I think it might be. I heard only grievances from ‘18 Outback/Legacy owners. Seems other Subies are not affected for some reason. Something to do with software, says Subaru...
