Funny part is, the HR-V isn’t necessarily cheaper. It’s still more expensive than a Civic, and comes with a powertrain that’s outdated. In fact the whole vehicle is outdated. Sturdy and reliable, but outdated and bare-bones. In Japan and in China, the HR-V (known as the Vezel and XR-V) already utilizes the 1.5T with

GT-86 perhaps? A turbo’d one with ridiculously large pipes sticking out in the rear (not pictured)

Honda’s offered the manual for the HR-V since it came out, but regardless, I wasn’t too impressed.

I knew that, I was just paying tribute with that line in relation to modern V8 police cars used by Australian police, most of which are Holden Commodores.

It’s brilliant, really. People often refer to unmarked police vehicles as “ghost” cars, but a true ghost car is a family van that starts going whoop whoop behind you with strobes on.

That’s fucking evil and brilliant at the same time. No one ever sees a van coming.

Indeed, this version would have totally made a lot more sense.

I know this may not be popular opinion, but I quite liked this livery of Toronto Police:

And to think what they could be doing...

I once saw someone get pulled over in a beat-up Chevy Venture VAN. Even had a stick family stickers on the back window ffs!!

I’m getting flashbacks of the line from Mad Max “last of the V8 Interceptors” because those Holdens really were the last V8 hurrah for Aussie police forces. Much like how our beloved P71 was to us here in North America.

Does it still do that “hear the cool engine noise through your speakers” nonsense? Because that is so freaking lame.

k. I’ll throw my pennies in this whirly pond too.

Even more scary still when you realize it comes naturally to so many people out there.

I really don’t like Toyota’s design language. I think aside from the 4Runner their vehicles are fugly.

Yeah, but it would make too much sense for GM to actually give this something really good.

It’s all strategized. They’re focusing their efforts on whatever makes them money. Which, hey, I guess that’s business, but it IS pretty shitty business when you not only ignore your own product, but the customers who are interested in that particular product. Fucking GM man.

Buick doesn’t even offer the TourX in Canada. Reason being?... and I’m not just saying this as someone who just wants a particular car, but won’t buy it. I actually want to buy the damn thing, because it looks fantastic and comes with everything I want. Just give me a goddamn chance!

Amazing that we live in an era where stupidity can be so widely (and easily) broadcast to countless other stupid people.

Ditto. And the wonderful thing about motorcycles is that they don’t need a ton of power to move fast, all they need to be is relatively lightweight.
